Tunisia is very popular among European travelers and such beach towns as Sousse and Hammamet became huge tourist attractions. The hotel beaches are private and used by hotel guests and paying Tunisians only, so they don't get too crowded, unless the hotel is overbooked. Both of the areas have gorgeous hotel beaches. Tunisia can really be proud of its great beaches. Chott Meriam beach for example could be considered the best in Tunisia. Located near Sousse it is a white sand clean, very beautiful beach. Some of the main tourist attractions in terms of holidays are such resort towns as Sousse, Ghar El-Melh, Sidi El Mekki,  Sounine, Raf Raf and Djerba. Djerba area has some nice soft sandy beaches and crystal turquoise sea. The best beaches of the northeast except for Plage des 5,000 Ans and Plage Municipale are privately owned by the resorts located in the Zone Touristique. You can find quiet beaches between such towns as Aghir and el-Kantara.
Ghar el Melh is a nice long beach not far from Raf Raf beach. ghar el Melh means "cave of Salt".

Raf Raf is an endless white sand beach of legendary beauty with dunes alongside, located just 30km east of Bizerte.

Sounineis a small town located some 60 km from the capital in the northern part of Tunisia with a nice Sounine plage.

Nabeul. The city of Korba has a beach that stretches for eight kilometers making it one of the most beautiful cities of Cap Bon, the summer visit in large numbers. Tourism activity in the region is very active. During the summer, the population of Korba can reach 70 thousand people saw his undeniable attraction. Chatt Charki city is surrounded by a natural reserve: the Korba lagoon visited every year by a large number of migratory birds, mostly rare as flamenco pink. The preservation of this lagoon is part of a presidential project for wetlands protection or what is called "Med Goast Wet".

The city is also distinguished by a style of traditional architectural and archaeological sites that reflect the particularities of the city. Its location on the Mediterranean made the city an ineffable beauty that constantly promotes the internal and external tourism.
Sousse region has many resorts and beaches of fine sand. With its mild Mediterranean climate, it has become one of the popular destinations for beach lovers from Europe. Especially nice is Boujaffar beach stretching from the centre of Sousse to Port el-Kantaoui.

Zarzis. With the nearby Jerba, there is little interest from a tourist's point of view but a place out of beaten track as Zarzis can be proud of its beaches. The town itself was very popular among French military on leave during the time of the protectorate. Today the city is not very much more than most other towns in Tunisia, but the beaches are really good.
