The People's Republic of China is the second largest country in the world by land area and is considered the third or fourth largest in respect to total area. Due to its massive territiry, China has many types of landscapes. The coastal line of China is large, influenced by different climate zones. Hainan Island welcomes visitors with 300 days of sunshine each year. This is one of the most environmentally friendly places in the world. It is the only tropical island in China, located in the South China Sea on the same latitude as Hawaii, so Hainan is sometimes referred to as China's Hawaii.
View Larger Map	Sanya is the central resort of Hainan and the most southern one. It is always sunny here and the water is warm throughout the year. The province has two wonderful beaches as Tianya Haijiao and Dadonghai. Qingdao has a good reputation for its beaches in China. You can find 6 best ones as Cangkou, Sifang, Zhanshan, Huiquan, Taipingwan and Zhanqiao, situated along the coast of Qingdao. Beidaihe was once the undistinguished fishing village near the town of Qinhuangdao. The resort is renowned for its splendid beaches on the shores of the Yellow Sea stretching for over 10 kilometers from east to west. From July to September the water temperature at Beidaihe beach is around 25 degrees celsius. It is a popular beach for bathing with its unspoiled blue waters that offers a tranquil holiday on the wet sands. The beach draws millions of tourists from all over the world every summer.
Beihai. For the last twenty years, Beihai has been one of the most popular tourist centers of China. Considered one of the best beaches in China, Beihai beach is silver with an unusual color of the sand, sparkling with silver under the rays of the sun and the moon. Dalian is surrounded by the waters of the Yellow Sea. This world-renowned center of Chinese traditional medicine is located close to the thermal mineral springs and sandy beaches. Apart from the traditional popular methods, the treatment procedures that are offered to the vacationers in Dalian also include the modern medical therapy. The city itself is a surprisingly beautiful place, a metropolis decorated with parks and gardens and, unlike many Chinese cities has no air pollution.
