Montenegro is a country located in Southeastern Europe with a coast on the Adriatic Sea. It is well suited for development of all kinds of tourism, as it has both a picturesque coast and a mountainous northern region. The beaches of Montenegro stretch along the Adriatic coast from Herceg Novi in the north, past Tivat, Kotor, Budva and Bar to Ulcinj in the south. There are 173 beaches with a total length of 73 km, its almost a quarter of the length of the whole coastal line, which is 293 km long. You can choose beaches for every taste in Montenegro. From fine and coarse sand to pebbly or rocky; located in the quiet bays or cut by the cliffs, equipped with the latest facilities or wild beaches. But whatever you choose, you'll be pleased with the clear water and gentle sun.

In summer the average temperature on the coast is 27.4 C, maximum water temperature 27.1 C, the average number of sunny days per year is 180. Montenegro coastal waters have the average wave height of about half a meter, with an average height of tide of approximately 30 cm. The sea transparency is 40-55 meters, its salinity is from 28 % in the Bay of Boka Kotor in the north to 38 % in the south near Ulcinj. in the south near Ulcinj.
Herceg-Novi
Igalo beach can become a wonderful place for walking and swimming. Part of it is covered with sand, the rest is made of concrete. For those who prefer to stay in a beach hotel, Igalo beach is the best choice. You will find many restaurants, bars and cafes near the beach.The coast of Herceg Novi also offers some small and cozy private beaches such as Kumbor, Dienovichi, Baosici, Biela and Kamenar.
 
Small coves and docks,olive, orange and olive groves give these places a completely unique charm. Due to the fact that these beaches are privately owned, they are significantly different from the rest of the public ones. The total length of these beaches is around 3100 meters

Morinj has a sandy and shingle beach with a length of 1000 m and a width of 15 m. The beach is located on a promontory next to the high-speed line. There are old mills near the beach, which are converted into exclusive restaurants and always ready to receive guests.

Orahovac beach is also a favorite place for the residents of Kotor. This beach is full of sun all day, the sea water it is crystal clear. It is located near Kotor on the way to Perast. This pebble beach is 1000 meters in length and it really stands out among other beaches - the harmonious union of the coastline with stone houses overlooking the sea, framed by lush Mediterranean vegetation, which gives it a special charm.

Lustica. Only 6 kilometers from the town of Herceg Novi, on the peninsula of Lustica there is a sunny valley called Miriste. There is an amazing beach of 5 500 sq m here covered with white pebbles and surrounded by unique olive groves, this area is the perfect place to relax with azure waters.

Przno valley. The most beautiful place on the coast of Montenegro is considered to be Przno valley, where in the open sea, on the island, there is Blue Horizon beach with soft sand. Dense olive groves and pine forests, give a special charm to the place. Blue Horizon beach is not deep and only 300 m in length .
 
Trsteno Valley is considered one of the 9 best beaches of the Montenegrin coast. Protected from high waves, storms and winds this sandy beach is 200 m long with good sand, clean water, sandy sea bottom and untouched nature around it.
 
Tivat. On the coast around the town of Tivat there are 17 official beaches with the total area of 31200 sq.m. There are small picturesque coves with restaurants, hotels, bars and other tourist establishments along the coast. Tivat Riviera also includes three islands such as Flowers, St. Mark'sand the Virgin of Mercy. On the beaches of Tivat Riviera you can feel the taste of real life, and make sure that miracles do exist.

Not far from Tivat, 1,5 km from the town there is another amazing beach called Donja Lastva which length is 1000 m. Close to the island of flowers there is a sunny Kalardovo beach with an area of about 4200 m. It represents a typical urban beach with all facilities.
 
Budva Coast is a neighborhood of the city of Budva on the Adriatic coast. It is located almost in the middle of the coast and is the center of Montenegrin tourism. Beaches occupy 12,5 km.
 
Jaz-Beach is a pebbly beach 2,5 km long, with both sides being protected by hills. The beach is located between the towns of Budva and Tivat. In fact, Jaz Beach consists of two beaches, one of them with the length of 500m, and another 300, visited by nudists. The pebbles here smoothly give way to the sand, which gives the water a magic turquoise hue.

Becici beach is considered one of the most beautiful and largest beaches of the south coast of the Adriatic Sea. The beach is covered with golden soft sand, its length is 1950 m.

Petrovac beach with reddish sand is 600 meters long and is the most visited place along the coast of Budva. This beach is protected as a natural treasure of Montenegro. A huge number of restaurants, cafes, souvenir shops are located in the vicinity of the beach.
 
In the northernmost part of the Riviera, near the backwater Chan there is Queen's Beach. To get to this small but very cozy beach, surrounded by cliffs is possible only by boats. This amazing beach with soft sand and crystal clear waters has been a favorite vacation spot of Queen Milena, when she used to came to her summer residence of Castle Topolica.
