Playa Grande, Dominican Republic

Playa Grande, DR

Its the 5th of May 2010 and we spent the whole day at Playa Grande. The beach is amazing, especially on the eastern side of it where we felt being on a small island far away from civilization. But, as we drove up the beach looking for a place to park, there were a dozen of restaurant guys running after the car offering the table to the beach service. Do not be afraid, they are nice.. We were not hungry, so we ordered just Ananas drink (Fresh pineapple with ice cubes and sweet coco juice inside), lovely.

After a 10 minute swim in the Atlantic ocean (the water was so clean and calm today), we decided to walk all the way to the end of Playa Grande and it was an unforgettable promenade along the beauty of the nature. The softest fine sand that we walked on also covers the bottom of the ocean without any seaweed and corals. The video below shows the view from the golf club up the rock while the other shot shows the whole stretch of Playa Grande, which is about 1 mile long.
