The views over Playa Sosua are spectacular, there is no doubt about it. The beach is nice during weekdays, Saturdays and Sundays it is filled with noisy locals as many buses arrive from Santiago for a weekend. We would recommend visiting this beach from Tuesdays through Thursdays, leaving Mondays forthe beach clean-up.

 

There are many little cafes with plenty of food and drinks to spend the whole day at and bars as well as souvenir shops, you will be approached a dozen of times if you decide to walk in the shadow. But the vendors are nice. I said once that i had no money and the beach guy offered a free chair with umbrella. The beach is about 1 km, walk further away from the hotels and the water will get better for swimming as there are some corals here.

 

Playa Sosua can offer a comfortable rest with all kinds of activities (apart form alcohol) as banana boats, catamarans with sails, diving, snorkeling and all kinds of trips along the coast.
