Australia is a country in the Southern Hemisphere consisting of  the mainland of the Australian continent, the island of Tasmania, and a series of islands in the Indian and Pacific Oceans. The country boasts its world's largest coral reef - The Great Barrier Reef, which lies not far from the northeastern coast, extending for more than 2,000 km. The whole world associates Australia with a tanned, smiling surfer skillfully sliding on the waves of the ocean. So nobody should be surprised by the fact that the first thing people want to do when coming to Australia is to go to the nearest beach. There are hundreds of superb beaches in Australia but we will not describe each of them as we picked the best, some of the "secret" beach towns, well, maybe not so secret, but not so busy and popular, located nesr the major Australian cities.
